Hello,
New member and first time poster here. So of course, I'm posting because I need help. I just got a new computer with Windows 10. I've installed FSX Gold Edition and it worked fine. I then installed the Acceleration Expansion Pack from the disk that came in the package and it seemed to install correctly. The problem comes when I start FSX again. I get the error code 1-80004005. I looked this up on the internet and it says that there was a problem in the registry but when I followed the instructions, the registry looked good. This appears to stem from the fact that it never asked me for the license key for the acceleration pack. I even uninstalled everything, rebooted, installed FSX, started a new flight, exited, rebooted, and THEN installed the acceleration pack with the same results. So... can anyone help me with this problem? Now it seems like the new planes and missions are there but I've lost the multi-player option. If this is the only problem then I'm not really going to worry about it. I do hate the error each time I start the program but I guess I could live with that, but I'd really like to get this installed cleanly.
